As with all tragedies, the entirety of civilized society united in grief and empathy when we heard about the recent abduction of little 5 year old April Jones. All of civilized society have spread the word wishing for her safe return, along with support to her grieving family and undoubtedly some noble individuals taking the time to try and find her, in the hopes that she’s out there to be found.
And while all of civilized society is doing this, the scum of the earth is sitting at home (presumably in their own filth) “trolling” and making jokes about it.
Now, I do believe to some extent that if you can’t make a joke about something, then it has defeated you. But there is always a limit to this. Namely, a great tragedy which affects young, innocent individuals and which doesn’t directly affect the rest of society in any immediate way. The situation is bad enough as it is without sad, lonely people taking the opportunity to appease their sick and pathetic desire for “dark humour”, as they call it. They clearly don’t see how this doesn’t class as “dark humour”, which is supposed to make light of dark situations in a general sense, not any event in particular. That’s just twisted. I don’t even see how that classes as humour at all.
Moving off that subject, my thoughts go out to Aprils family and I sincerely hope for her safe return. Also, I hope her abductor gets his just desserts in prison, which always happens to those who commit heinous crimes against children. It’s probably the only situation in which the system works.
