I read today that Karl Lagerfeld, a German fashion designer, has turned his experienced gaze over to the Middleton sisters. He seemed to approve of Kate, giving his blessing (as if it was needed) for her marriage to Prince William, saying “she is the right girl for that boy”. He also praised her looks by commenting on her ‘silhouette’. I’m not 100% sure what he means by that, but I’m inclined to agree.
He then switched his attention over to Kate’s younger sister, Pippa. Now, it’s probably worth mentioning that I’m amongst that elite group of people who thinks she is the prettier of the two. So you can probably imagine my distaste when I read his comment “I don’t like the sister’s face”. It’s also worth mentioning that that is the full quote; there’s no reason, his highness simply doesn’t approve.
Quite frankly, I think this comment is totally out of line. Just because he’s a style “guru” (a term which suggests he knows what he’s talking about – I beg to differ), that doesn’t automatically mean he has the right to throw his sadistic opinions around without concern or any thought to who he may be affecting. No, you have to be a blogger to do that.
Here, I’ll let you judge for yourself:
I for one have absolutely no idea what his problem is. So I’m just going to disagree, and say that my opinion is infinitely more valid and reliable than his. Because it is.
